The second definition of the word wedding should be 2) an event that requires a LOT of shopping.

If you’re like most people, you’ve been dreaming about the wedding details from the rings to the flowers. Whether you want to wear a bridal gown or funky sundress, the world is your oyster, especially when you have your elopement on a Hornblower yacht.

It’s All in the Details

Because Kristal and Casey traveled from Louisiana, we handled many of the details. In fact, our wedding planning specialists provided everything from the red velvet cake with buttercream to the champagne-hued bouquet. All that Kristal was lacking was the dress. “I chose my dress over a weekend,” said Kristal. “I wanted something light and vintage looking.”

To Dress Up or Not Dress Up

Get the girls together to go shopping! There’s a whole wide wonderful world out there full of beautiful wedding attire.

Ask around to find out where you can get the best value—not all bridal salons are created equal.
Sign up for trunk sales to see the entirety of a designer’s line and not just what the store selects.
Rent a gown or tuxedo to get a great deal.
Vintage expos happen all year long and have one-of-a-kind dresses for those who love ageless designs.
While a lot of people choose to wear gowns or dresses or tuxedos or suits for their big day, they are not required. Feel free to ignore the rules. Celebrate your own signature style by wearing whatever makes you happy — even if it is a tutu.
