Genel Bakış
Fotografiska uses the power of photography to inspire a more conscious world. For over 10 years, the museum has been an internationally-renowned destination for photography in Stockholm. Now, Fotografiska has opened a new museum in NYC’s Flatiron District. Explore the musuem's powerful and unparalleled exhibitions showcasing some of the world’s best photographers. Genres range from abstract, landscape, portrait, and documentary, with themes that are relevant, inclusive, and representative of ever-changing current issues and ongoing movements. With extra touches including late opening hours, live music on select nights, and new inspiring exhibitions, Fotografiska is anything but an ordinary New York museum.
Now on view through January 8, 2023: Enter the surreal world of David LaChapelle: Make Believe at Fotografiska New York — its first building-wide, single-artist show taking over all floors of the museum. LaChapelle’s iconic images have established him as one of the most influential artists of our time, and the exhibition is his first major solo show in North America. With over 150 works, the exhibition blurs reality and fantasy while highlighting the artists’ most iconic works and presenting new creations for the very first time.
