Built as a palace by William the Conqueror, the Tower spookily became a prison and place of torture which many entered through the Traitors’ Gate. Like many others, Queen Anne Boleyn, wife of Henry VIII, was beheaded here.   

Nowadays it’s a place not to miss and a visit wouldn’t be complete without seeing the amazing Crown Jewels, including the Imperial State Crown and the Sceptre and Orb.
