Mandy Brown, Charter Sales Manager for Hornblower Cruises & Events attended the SITE (Society for Incentive Travel) Young Leaders Conference 2014 in Las Vegas on October 12th and 13th. Mandy received a scholarship from SITE Southern California and IMEX America to attend. The conference theme “The Future is Bright!” carried through the two day experience where Young Leaders in the incentive travel industry gathered. A line-up of speakers from such industry luminaries such as the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, UNLV, MGM Resorts and Ovation Global, set the stage for an education packed program, global networking opportunities, and collaboration with Young Leaders from around the world.

The SITE Young Leaders program builds the next generation of incentive travel leaders by providing education and networking opportunities appealing directly to younger generations. The mission is to focus on bridging the gap between generations and creating a strong group of individuals who will become SITE leaders. Industry professionals aged 35 or younger, or have less than 5 years of experience, are encouraged to participate.

Mandy has been an active member of SITE Southern California for the past two years and will serve on the Board of Directors next year as the Vice President of Membership. She also chairs the SITE SoCal Holiday Hustle 5k Fun Run/Walk as part of the well-known SITE SoCal Holiday Event. The chapter was recently announced as the 2014 Chapter Excellence Award for Special Event recipient at the SITE Global Conference 2014 in Rotterdam, Netherlands for this event which raised over $103,000 for charity last year.
