TOUR ITINERARY

Start your Seville tapas tour on the banks of the Guadalquivir River as evening settles over the city. You’ll get an introduction to Triana, the neighborhood across the beautiful Isabel II bridge, and begin to understand how its location continues to shape its culture today.

Then it’s across the bridge you go to your first tapas stop: a family-run grocer-turned-bar. As one of the last remaining establishments of its kind in Triana, it’s the perfect place to begin your deep dive into Andalusian food with a selection of cold tapas paired with a flavorsome vermouth.

Next, we’re off to our second tapas bar of the night, right on Triana’s main pedestrian street. Opened in 1962 and run by the same family ever since, this spot is an absolute neighborhood institution. The key to their success is their short-but-sweet menu that’s been perfected over the last 60 years. You’ll taste a few of their star dishes, such as the city’s best pork sirloin—bought fresh daily from the neighborhood market—and addictive grilled mushrooms topped with garlic-parsley aioli. To drink, your guide will introduce you to a simple yet refreshing red wine-based cocktail (it’s not sangria!) that sevillanos actually drink.

No tapas crawl in Andalusia would be complete without something fried, and it doesn't get any better than our next stop. We’ll pop into a traditional freiduría run by a friendly father-son team and try their incredible homemade adobo, a marinade for fried fish that’s bursting with flavor and completely unique to southern Spain. Your guide will share this dish’s connection to the city’s famous April Fair, and you’ll pair it in the traditional way with a crisp glass of manzanilla sherry for a quintessential Seville experience.

Lastly, wrap up the evening at a bustling classic restaurant that’s welcomed locals and visitors since 1932. We’ll pass around shared plates of their best home-cooked dishes (think tempura zucchini and Spain’s beloved garlic shrimp), with your choice of beer or wine to drink.

You’ll leave with an appreciation of simple Spanish cooking, an understanding of what sets this neighborhood across the river apart, and a list of local hangouts that you won’t be able to keep from revisiting.
