All K-5 students in San Francisco Public, Charter, Homeschool and Private schools are eligible for complimentary Bay Discovery Cruise tickets.

Note: Children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying 21-year-old adult.
How it Works
To book your complementary tickets for your child:

- Complete the reservation process.
You will receive booking confirmation via email. When you arrive for the cruise, please check at the ticket booth with the following:
- The booking confirmation (printed or digital).
- Proof of your child’s enrollment in a San Francisco K-5 school (e.g., student ID, report card, or enrollment verification).

What if I need to reschedule our cruise?
You can reschedule your cruise, but you must do so on the online portal via manage my booking.

This program is for children between K-5 students in San Francisco County.
Will the accompanying adult go for free too?
Unfortunately, not. The accompanying adult will need to purchase a ticket.
How would my child qualify?
Students enrolled in a San Francisco County School K-5 qualify.
Where can I park?
- There is no parking at Pier 33.
- Street parking in the Fisherman’s Wharf area can be hard to find and nearly every space has a parking meter. Parking meters take nickels, dimes, quarters, and credit cards. Rates range from $.25 to $6.00 per hour (subject to change since these are not operated by Alcatraz City Cruises). Parking meters in the area operate seven days a week.
- There are fifteen commercial lots within a five-block radius of Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing with a total of more than 3,000 parking spaces. The closest and most convenient lots are located at 55 Francisco Street and 80 Francisco Street. Rates can range from as $40-$60 per day for parking.
- Automobile break-ins are frequent in the area, so please do not leave any valuables in your car.

Unfortunately, there are no parking validation services offered.

Can we take the tour of Alcatraz Island with this ticket?
No, the ticket is for a specific type of tour. If you wish to partake on a tour to Alcatraz Island, a regular Day Tour ticket will need to be purchased.
How do I receive my ticket?
Upon arrival at Pier 33. Please check in at the ticket booth with valid photo identification and proof of the child’s enrollment of school (progress report, or school identification card.)
