TOUR ITINERARY
Your Rome pizza making class begins as you say ciao to your friendly chef-instructor and small group in an easy-to-reach piazza in Trastevere. From there, it’s a short walk to our very own private kitchen, a bright and beautiful space with state-of-the-art appliances and all the charm of a traditional Italian cucina.
You’ll be welcomed with a classic aperitif of bruschetta and a spritz. As you snack and sip, your instructor will kick things off with a crash course in the age-old art of pizza dough: how to hydrate it, what type of flour to use, and so much more.
Then it’s time to get your hands messy! Working with one or two fellow aspiring pizzaioli you'll knead and proof the dough. Not sure what proofing is? Your chef will give you a full breakdown of this essential process and the different ways to do it in order to achieve pizza perfection.
It doesn’t just stop at pizza—you’ll also enjoy delicious homemade gelato as dessert. Watch as your instructor whips up this classic sweet treat right before your eyes and find out what sets real gelato artigianale apart.
Next, it’s back to the dough. Your expert chef will show you how to stretch it like a pro before you add your sauce and toppings. After that, a few minutes of baking is all that awaits before you dig in to your homemade creation.
Your Rome pizza making class ends as you gather around the table and enjoy the fruits of your labor with your new friends, good conversation, and plenty of wine. Cap it off with the homemade gelato prepared by your instructor to end your experience on a sweet note.
