We are pleased to offer an alternative for DC commuters. Enjoy a swift 25 minute commute between Alexandria and the Wharf as you take the scenic route to the office. Choose a discounted round trip commuter ticket or a Commuter Pass.
COMMUTER ROUND-TRIP TICKET
Valid for any Water Taxi
Valid May 28th through September 8th; M-F commuter hours.
Tickets are not intended for specific departure times, and can be used on any commuter run on a first come first serve basis. Simply select the date you want a ticket for. Once you have a ticket, it will scan twice on the chosen day. One scan is valid BEFORE 10 am, and one scan is valid AFTER 10 am.

2020 COMMUTER PASS
Valid for any Water Taxi
Enjoy unlimited Water Taxi Services from May 28th through December.
For Monday through Friday commuter runs BEFORE 10 am, you may go directly to the boat, show your pass and board on a first come first serve basis. For all other night and weekend rides ,you must stop at a ticket booth, show your pass and retrieve a timed ticket.

Public Transportation:
- Guests traveling by public transportation should use the King Street Metro station (yellow and blue line), a 16-block walk to the waterfront.
- The King Street Trolley offers free rides from the metro to the waterfront.
- The Dash Bus provides a free service on Friday nights and all day Saturday/Sunday that transports guests from the metro to within two block of the waterfront.

By Car

From Washington, DC:
- Cross over either the Memorial Bridge or the 14th Street Bridge and pick up the G.W. Parkway southbound.
- Take George Washington parkway south past National Airport.
- Once into Alexandria, Parkway becomes Washington Street at Slaters Lane.
- From Slaters Lane proceed on Washington Street 9 traffic lights and turn left on Queen Street.
- For Central Parking: Go 4 1/2 blocks to Central parking lot on left.
- For Colonial Parking: Go 6 blocks to Union Street. Turn right.
- Go 1 1/2 blocks to Colonial parking on right.
- Take Route 1 north (becomes Patrick Street) 3/4’s of a mile to Queen Street.
- Turn right on Queen Street.
- For Central Parking: Go 4 1/2 blocks to Central parking lot on left.
- For Colonial Parking: Go 6 blocks to Union Street. Turn right.
- Go 1 1/2 blocks to Colonial parking on right.
