For the second year running Hornblower New York, in association with New York Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), hosted a special holiday party for children.
Hornblower welcomed over fifty kids aboard the Hornblower Infinity for a holiday party to remember. From the ages of 3-17, there was a DJ and dancing (everyone loves the Nae Nae), food and drinks, and a special visit from Santa, who beared quite a resemblance to our Port Captain, Mark Philipps, Hornblower’s Director of Maritime & Government Relations and Special Projects.
Santa’s sack was full of presents, with each child receiving gifts from their wish list. Hornblower’s crew helped Santa out by purchasing the presents for the kids and, needless to say, there were some very big smiles, happy faces and even some tears of joy.
The adults had just as much fun helping out kids who really deserve it.
New York Administration of Children’s Services (ACS) looks after the wellbeing of the city’s children and their families, particularly those at risk, and provides a range of services including child welfare, juvenile justice, and early care and education.
ACS also works with nonprofit organizations who provide support services including foster care for those most at risk.
