This is probably one of the most popular live jazz bars in London. One of the oldest London jazz clubs, Ronnie Scott’s is known to host some of the biggest names in Jazz. There’s something different here every night, with new artists featured each and every month. It’s a classic jazz venue – and a must-visit for any true jazz fan.
Beginners, dabblers, aficionados and anyone looking for a good night out can combine a fantastic cruise of The River Thames with some great jazz music. Chijazz, the resident band, change their playlist to suit the mood of the audience, from subtle, cool, dinner jazz to a hot, swinging, upbeat. It’s an ideal night out where you can get dressed up (code is smart casual), eat great food, and do some dancing – and soak up the romance of a night on the river. The River Thames Jazz Cruise by City Cruises is a great way to hear jazz in London and discover the sights of the city at the same time.

This is one of the best jazz restaurants in London. If you are a fan of jazz and blues and want a taste of old-school glamour, this is the place to be. The decor is dark, mysterious and had a ‘Great Gatsby’ vibe to it. They also have a fantastic cocktail menu, perfect for those of us who like to accompany good music with good drinks.

606 is a club for anyone who is a jazz enthusiast. The club has been in business for over three decades now and has managed to build a great reputation amongst the jazz community. For those of us who love a bit of variety, and discovering new sounds – this is not just a club for jazz; they also play great soul, R&B, Latin, blues music. Some of the names that have performed in this club include Polly Gibbons, Jason Rebello, Jamie Cullum and Liane Carroll.

This one is one for the beginners! If you want to dip your toe into the world of jazz, but aren’t sure where to start – this might be the right option for you. As the name suggests, this is a great place for pizza, but on certain nights this particular branch also feature live jazz music to enjoy whilst you eat. The pizza is available on the ground floor; in the basement is where you will find live jazz performances. This place is always full, so it’s in your best interest to make sure that you book early in advance.
