Visit the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London. Home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the Prime Meridian of the world and London’s Planetarium.

When you get to the observatory you can stand across the world-famous Meridian Line, with one foot in each hemisphere. Set in a charming historic building, originally made for the Astronomers Royal, with a modern planetarium alongside, the Greenwich observatory is a great place to discover the stories of space and how we have found out what we know. 

To top it all you will see dramatic views of London from the hill in Greenwich Royal Park.

  • Entrance to the Royal Observatory (Flamsteed House and Meridian Courtyard) and an audio guide

  • Students must have a valid ID on the day of their visit.
  • All children aged 15 years and below must be accompanied by an adult 18+.
  • Last admission is 4pm.
