“Meet me at Pier 40. Wear something sexy yet sophisticated that exemplifies the Moulin Rouge.
Don’t ask questions.”
Not your average party instructions, but then again, the Lightning Society’s Moulin Rouge-inspired Courtesan’s Voyage over the weekend wasn’t your average party. Upon boarding, guests were greeted with a sign reading: “’The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.’ – Moulin Rouge”
With DJs on every floor, a mass of people dressed in fishnets, corsets, covered in body paint, and packing the bars, plus a Francis Stalling aerial performance, the Hornblower Infinity truly transformed into a 19th Century French cabaret. While Ewan MacGregor and Nicole Kidman didn’t make an appearance, everyone had a good time. Plus, proceeds from the event benefited Abilitylist.org and The American Heart Association.
