Defend the Tower- Tower of London

The Tower of London needs your help. Fate is in your hands to decide whether the Tower will stand or fall. England’s greatest medieval fortress is under attack from all sides, and you’ll have to help its heroic guards defending it against its most dangerous enemies.
Defend the Tower, the live historic re-enactment takes place daily at the Tower of London until 20th October.
 

SEA LIFE London – Ocean Invaders

If you visit SEA LIFE London this summer you’ll be treated to a wonderful new exhibition. Ocean Invaders is the UK’s largest jellyfish experience. Go on a journey into the fascinating world of jellyfish through three interactive zones.

Young Astronomers Workshop – Royal Observatory

Every weekend between 1st July and 30th September the whole family can get hands on during themed workshops around space science and exploration. The topics of the workshops range from recent discoveries about the Solar System to the latest understanding of the wider universe.

Shakespeare’s Telling Tales – Shakespeare’s Globe

Celebrate the joy of storytelling at Shakespeare’s Globe between 28th and 30th July. Hear all about the power of stories, write your own, or explore Shakespeare’s characters during this weekend-filled family festival.
There’ll also be talks with celebrated children’s authors, practical workshops and storytelling sessions that can’t be missed.
 

 

Summer at Kew – Royal Botanic Gardens Kew

The amazing Royal Botanic Gardens Kew are the setting this summer of aplenty of family activities. Get to know Kew’s native pollinators by taking part in lots of fun science and craft activities at the Insect Adventure Camp, taking place between 22nd July and 3rd September.
Or, pack a picnic and join the Australian Shakespeare Theatre company during their two family-friendly productions taking place between 31st August and 3rd September.

Sightseeing and high speed aquabatics – Thamesrush

See various iconic sights, such as Big Ben, the London Eye and Tower Bridge at the start of this exciting speed boat ride. Thamesjet will pick up speed after Tower Bridge, and will treat you to the ride of a lifetime. The boat will twist and turn, jump waves and speed its way around Canary Wharf, before returning back to Westminster.

Summer Holidays at Cutty Sark – Cutty Sark

Meet the characters of Cutty Sark’s incredible past. Try to find Captain Woodget, the ship’s most daring master; Jock Willis, the man who built Cutty Sark; Nannie, the ship’s figurehead; or the ship’s cook, James Robson, who all have a special story to tell. Discover what life was like on board the world’s only surviving tea clipper.
For the little ones, there is Toddler Time on Wednesday mornings. Bring the young sailors along for songs, stories and playtime.

Summer Holiday Family Events – Westminster Abbey

Beautiful College Garden at Westminster Abbey is the setting this summer holiday of family themed events. Join in with games, crafts and tours taking place on several dates in July and August.
Make medieval gingerbread, go on a Tudor treasure trail, clay gargoyles or craft your own mini theatre with the Abbey team. Take the whole family for a fun day out.
