Skip the queues and get to the heart of Westminster Abbey, England’s most important Gothic building.
Übersicht
We're now offering a curated selection of beautifully designed sightseeing and cultural walking tours by Walks. More than simply after-hours access or line-skipping tickets, a Walks tour is about connecting people to places, with storytelling at the heart of every unique experience.
Explore Westminster Abbey from top to bottom, going beyond the famous areas most tourists visit and getting to the heart of this storied building. While the queue outside the Abbey is always long, you’ll step straight to the front and head inside with a fully licensed Blue Badge guide. Marvel at significant sights, such as the Coronation Chair and the tombs of several famous figures, before heading up to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries. This part of the Abbey has long been closed to the public, and tickets can be hard to come by, but not to worry—we’ll get you in.
Breeze past the long lines outside and head straight into Westminster Abbey. As you explore, your certified guide will regale you with stories of the Abbey’s most famous attractions, such as the famous Coronation Chair, the Grave of the Unknown Warrior, the Nave, the Quire, and the High Altar, which has been the focal point of many royal weddings. (William and Kate, the current Prince and Princess of Wales, were the 16th royal couple to get married there.) The Abbey is also famous for housing the final resting places of some of England’s most significant historical figures, so we’ll of course pause at a few.
After exploring the main floor of the Abbey, we’ll then head upstairs to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries. Only recently opened to the public, tickets for this part of the Abbey are difficult to get ahold of. We’ve guaranteed ours in advance, getting you access to some of the monarchy’s most prized gems, some of which are over 1,000 years old. Feel free to ask your guide any more burning questions about the Abbey or London itself before you part ways.
Please note that this description is an example and your experience may vary depending on the season, day of the week, and group size. Regardless of where your tour goes, you always have an excellent experience.
