Overview
No trip to Chicago is complete without a visit to the 360 Chicago Observation Deck located in the former John Hancock Building. Sitting 1000 feet above the Magnificent Mile, you will get unforgettable views of the city’s iconic skyline. Chicago’s highest thrill ride, the TILT, offers a unique perspective of the windy city, with a moving platform that tilts from the 94th floor over Michigan Avenue. From the ground floor exhibits that showcase Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods, to the elevators that travel to the 94th floor in 40 seconds, to unparalleled city views - a visit to this observatory is an exciting experience from start to finish, and one that will be remembered for years to come.
Later, enjoy Chicago’s iconic skyline with an exciting architecture cruise on the Chicago River. Departing from Navy Pier, this 75-minute narrated cruise is the best way to get up-close views of Chicago’s unique architecture and famous landmarks. Seadog offers fun for the whole family (and the dog, too!) with live narration along the city’s shore. Enjoy the speed of Seadog afterward during a short speedboat ride on the lake!
Connect with science and natural history during a visit to the Field Museum. Explore the museum’s extensive collection, made up of nearly 40 million artifacts. Spend the day discovering dinosaurs, ancient artifacts, cultural insights, and groundbreaking science. Learn about the creatures that roamed the earth throughout history, including SUE a 40-foot-long and 90-percent-complete Tyrannosaurus rex. Get an up-close look at the daily lives of ancient Egyptians in the ‘Inside Ancient Egypt’ exhibit. No trip to Chicago is complete without a visit to the field museum.
