Mad Science at the Museum

Join Mad Science at 11:00 am & 1:00 pm for two different shows exploring the coldest snow around and the magic of chemical reactions! Afterwards take a journey through the museum, make a winter-themed craft and complete a scavenger hunt, then finish the day off with a movie at 3pm.

Northern Owls is an exhibit visiting Niagara from the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). Designed to celebrate the natural and cultural heritage of both Niagara and the province, the exhibit focuses on the fascinating and less well-known aspects of owl behaviour, biology and lifestyle.

Don’t miss this chance to get up close and personal with Canada’s Official Bird! This live raptor display and demonstration will be running throughout the March Break provided by representatives from the Canadian Raptor Conservancy! Taking place at the Legacy Garden within the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Interactive Heritage Exhibits
Grand Hall – Table Rock Complex

Daily from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join Niagara Parks and travel back in time to learn more about the fascinating life of rebel publisher William Lyon Mackenzie and how the power of the printed word helped change Canada over the past 150 years. Niagara Parks Heritage Staff will be onsite daily to assist with hands-on displays, allowing individuals an opportunity to print their own unique tribute to Canada’s 150th anniversary!
March Break Movie Matinees

Daily Screenings at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Take in the historic surroundings of the famous War of 1812 battle site while enjoying award-winning classics, charming family favourites and culturally important recent releases, shown within Niagara Parks’ storied Old Fort Erie visitor centre theatre. The modern theatre has ample seating, surround sound and a large projector screen to showcase many of today’s finest films.

Spring has sprung at Niagara Parks’ Floral Showhouse! Located just south of the Falls, the Showhouse is currently featuring a seasonal spring display bursting with gorgeous blooms, orchids and exotic tropical plants, all accompanied by the peaceful sounds of songbirds. A relaxing exploration that’s fun for all ages.

Niagara Falls to be Illuminated in Green for St. Patrick’s Day

9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
In partnership with Tourism Ireland’s “Global Greening” campaign, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board will light Niagara Falls green on Friday, March 17 for St. Patrick’s Day! The Falls will be illuminated with vibrant green lights for 15 minutes at the top of every hour beginning at 9:00. This natural wonder will join other world icons such as the Empire State Building, the Colosseum in Rome, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Nelson’s Column in London and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, in honour of this festive day.
