Are school and work projects piling on your desk? Are you already thinking Friday? We have the perfect solution for you to avoid the pre-winter blues. We have extended our operating season, which means more daytime boat tours and more time for fun. Our daytime boat tours have extended tours and the operating season offering more fun and more days to feel refreshed and re-energized. Our daytime boat tours will continue to offer its spectacular one-of-a-kind ‘Voyage to the Falls’ boat tours until November 30, 2014.
Since opening in May 2014, we have seen over 1 million visitors, many of which experienced an iconic wonder on board our daytime boat tours. The 20-minute thrill gives visitors an up close and personal view, taste and feel of Niagara Falls. The boat takes visitors on a journey up the Niagara Gorge passing the scenic beauty of the geological rock walls and greenery that states back thousands of years. The daytime boat tours are the perfect opportunity to for locals and visitors to Niagara Falls to experience the iconic wonder and its breath-taking Fall foliage one last time before the colder winter temperatures arrive to the region.
“We understand that the boat tour is a significant demand generator for tourists. Pushing our operation season to the end of November allows visitors the chance to experience the iconic boat tour and the unique perspective of Niagara Falls that we provide”, explains Mory DiMaurizio, General Manager of Hornblower Niagara Cruises.” The decision to extend its operating season was a natural one that was welcomed by the local tourism industry, tour operators and local residents.
In the earlier summer months, visitors and locals were able to explore the brand new evening cruises that included the Falls Illumination and Falls Fireworks Cruise. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the brand new on board amenities including floor-to-ceiling glass walls, on board bar, 360-degree obstructed viewing platform, music and on board snacks and cocktails. Although the evening cruises has come to an end for the season, the daytime boat tours offer something new and exciting for both visitors and locals. Locals will be able to enjoy the great outdoors in their own neck of the woods while visitors from afar can enjoy the crisp Niagara Falls temperatures and warm colours of reds and oranges on the trees as they cruise past draw dropping scenery.
In our opinion there is no better time to see Niagara Falls, than like this! The air is crisp as a Macintosh apple, the boat ride is smooth sailing and there are absolutely no lines. The Fall foliage offers spectacular sites that make for amazing pictures and keepsakes. If you are worried about the colder temperatures don’t freight, as our heavy-duty red poncho will keep you dry and warm while still giving you the comfort to take pictures, videos and enjoy the time of your life in the mist.
