9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

Mola Mola
50 Common Dolphins
Sea Lions

It was a sunny day with some swell. We saw sea lions on the channel marker out at Point Loma. While out on the open water, we ran into a couple pods about 50 common dolphins and a mola mola sunbathing.

Glenda

9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

3 Grey Whales (2 adults, 1 calf)
500 Common Dolphins

This Whale & Dolphin Watching cruise began with a marine layer that cleared to beautiful weather. Captain Jose did a wonderful job steering the boat to near the nine-mile shelf which is where three (3) grey whales were spotted. These three (3) whales included two (2) adults & one (1) calf). The guests and crew were treated to tail flukes. 500 common dolphins entertained the passengers, as well.

Your naturalists,

Raquel Vasquez, Yvonne Tempel

9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

300 Common Dolphins
15 Bottlenose Dolphins

Today’s guests had a beautiful sunny day on the water complete with a pod of 300 common dolphins feeding alongside several sea birds, bow riding alongside the boat, and porpoising out of the water. We also got to see about 15 offshore bottlenose dolphins which was a great treat. We then headed back to land and to the San Diego sunshine!

Your naturalist,

Stefanie
