London is one of the most exciting cities in the world – however, it is not one of the driest! Whilst London does offer sunshine many months of the year, the weather is certainly unpredictable, and rain can surprise even the most well-prepared visitor. Luckily, if bad weather does hit, there are plenty of indoor attractions in London, and this list will take you through some of the best things to do in London indoors. Who is worried about the rain anyway? Definitely not us!

One of the best indoor attractions London has to offer has got to be The Tower of London, where you can see over 1000 years of British Royal History including the incredible Crown Jewels. You can even have a guided Beefeater tour for only £25 per adult.

Most of London’s main tourist spots can actually be seen from the Thames (a river which runs right through the heart of the city). During bad weather, why not jump on a boat tour such as City Cruises, and enjoy all the sights from inside a riverboat? You’ll get some great photos along the way, and you’ll even have a cafe onboard, so you can enjoy a cup of tea (or two!).

A classic indoor London attraction is The London Dungeon, where you will be taken on a terrifying 90-minute tour detailing the dark history of London. It’s a great choice for older kids and teenagers, and tickets start at £23.

A relative newcomer to the list of indoor attractions in London, an incredible one, is ‘The making of Harry Potter – Warner Bros, Studio Tour’ where you will be able to see the sets, props and costumes used in the making of Harry Potter. It is an absolute must for any Potter fan, and anyone curious about movie-making in general will also love it.

If you are looking for a more educational experience, then head down to the Natural History Museum. This historic building is home to an amazing array of exhibits, and it even has its own earthquake machines.
